Masters

Please contact Professor Michael Allis ([email protected]) with any enquiries for these modules.  Briefly, short (30-credit) recitals are 30 minutes in length, and there are normally 10 hours of instrumental/vocal lessons. Major recitals (60 credits) are 40-50 minutes, and there are normally 20 hours of instrumental/vocal lessons. Recital dates will be announced to students when they are scheduled.

Masters students who are specialising on the MMus Performance Programme will also be taking Applied Performance and Concerto/Song Cycle/Extended Work modules.  In the former, they devise a project which may or may not be within the mainstream of their principal study; the latter must be on their principal instrument.

Sometimes students who are not on the MMus Performance degree will elect modules such as Applied Performance or the short recital; we'll be in touch with you directly about any and all of these cases, but probably not until October!

For Masters modules, details are available on the taught postgraduate module catalogue.
