March opening hours and building access guidance
Further to the guidelines below, please find attached the School of Music opening hours for the Easter vacation period. Access continues to be permitted for booked sessions only during this time.
4pm Closure:
Please note that the building needs to be closed promptly at 4pm. Please ensure that all afternoon lessons are finished by 3.45pm, so that we can be certain that all staff and students have vacated by 4pm.
Lateral Flow Tests:
The University continues to strongly recommend that all those using campus facilities make use of the free lateral flow testing on campus and asks that staff obtain a negative test each week before they undertake teaching (those working on campus for the majority of the week are asked to obtain a test twice per week). The School will continue to ask staff and students for evidence of a negative test upon entry to the building. This is being requested in the interests of improved safety for all those on campus. Please note, however, that if you experience significant difficulties obtaining a test before your session (either on campus or at a local testing facility) then you will not be refused access to the building, since testing is strongly recommended as opposed to being mandatory. In the event that you will not have evidence of a negative test within 3 days of your lesson, we ask that you let your student(s) know that this is the case, so that they can make a decision on whether they feel comfortable to attend the lesson or whether they would prefer to arrange an online session instead.
