Term and Exam Dates

New students should arrive in Leeds by September 21, 2020, all being well. We’ll ask the students to send audition recordings in advance if they don't have the usual qualifications to elect performance modules, and ask your advice if necessary.

Semester 1

Teaching begins 28 September, 2020, and ends Friday, 11 December. Students should return to Leeds by 11 January.

First year performance exams are provisionally scheduled for 11-15 January. Due to possible disruption, these exams will not count towards the module grade, but students should receive feedback and be encouraged to take them seriously. These are now taking place via recording.

Second year performance exams should begin the week of 18 January, if all goes to plan. These are now taking place via recording. 

Semester 2

Teaching resumes 25 Jan., for 9 weeks.

Last teaching day before spring break is Friday 26 March, then teaching resumes 26 April, for 2 weeks.

First year performance exams are provisionally scheduled for 10-14 May, 2021.

Second year exams are planned for the week of 17 May.

Final year exams will be scheduled in late May--early June over a period of 2-3 weeks. Term ends June 18.
