Wifi access on campus
You do not need to do this in order to access the practice room booking system, you will only need this if you wish to access free wifi on campus.
ACCESS TO WIFI IN THE SCHOOL: this will be through the Eduroam network, and this is the process: Go to https://idp.leeds.ac.uk/YellowForm/YellowFormServlet/apply to fill in the form:
In the Category field, choose “Visitor/Contractor”
Expected Start Date: enter the current date
In the Faculty tab, choose “Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures”
Department: School of Music
Date of leaving if known: don’t enter a date
Answer NO to the 2 following questions
In the further information field, please enter“ I am in instrumental/vocal teacher working in the School of Music” and your instrument/voice
Then click on “I accept”
You will then see your username and password—you need to capture that information and record it. You will be able to change your password later, if you wish, but you must make sure to note down your account details or you will not be able to logon. It may take 48 hours or more for your account to be activated, as it has to be approved both locally and centrally.
Connecting your device to Eduroam: detailed advice can be found here:
https://it.leeds.ac.uk/info/37/wi-fi
Follow the instructions to the letter and you should not have any problem.
However, if you experience difficulties, please consult the central IT service desk:
https://it.leeds.ac.uk/info/218/it_service_desk
Please note: the School of Music will not be able to help with any problems with wifi access—please go through the link above if you have problems with access, as this is a centrally managed service.
